Flying Mojito Bros are two Desert Disco and Outlaw House DJs pioneering the great electronic wilderness.
With boots firmly planted in dusty 70s sunsets, their productions take cosmic country funk and classic rock to dance floors via modern disco and baggy acid house on a bed of hefty contemporary rhythms.
Think the first summer of love meeting the second – Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Haçienda, The Doors at Paradise Garage, The Chemical Brothers at Woodstock.
While the remix masses continue to pick over the bones of soul, funk and disco for novel sample material, these cosmic cowboys look uniquely to the vast catalogs of artists such as Santana, ZZ Top, the Eagles and their present day counterparts for inspiration.
Consisting almost entirely of their own reworks – always with a slab of unreleased edits kept back for their own exclusive live use – FMB have found their DJ sets to be a hit among party people all over.
Their music and trippy visuals have turned dancers loose in clubs, parties and late-night festival tents at Glastonbury, Stagecoach, Pikes Ibiza, Mondegreen, Bonnaroo and beyond.
In addition to residencies at The Social, Spiritland and Nobu, they’ve worked their hoodoo on remixes for the likes of Tony Joe White, Michael Franks, Scott Hirsch, Katy J Pearson, Jeffrey Silverstein, James Alexander Bright, Gloria Ann Taylor and more – releasing on prestigious independent labels such as Heavenly, Paper Recordings, !K7 and Ubiquity.
Flying Mojito Bros have seen millions of streams worldwide and have a mushrooming US fanbase, being invited to DJ at events by music royalty such as Diplo, Phish and Pretty Lights.
Trumpeter and vocalist, Jennifer Hartswick is one of the most exciting performers in music today. She exudes confidence and joy and brings her own refreshing spirit to the stage every time she performs. Jennifer’s music is honest, and soulful and comes with a maturity far beyond her years.
Hartswick is an original member of the Trey Anastasio Band and has recorded/shared the stage with Herbie Hancock, Phish, Christian McBride, Tom Petty, Aaron Neville, Carlos Santana, The Rolling Stones, Big Gigantic, Dave Matthews, Lisa Fischer, and countless others.
Jennifer’s live performances are renowned as spontaneous, joyful, and contagious. Her natural charisma and sincerity shine through, and each performance is a celebration of musical collaboration. Whether she is wailing on the trumpet or singing an intimate vocal solo, her performance is all part of a single seamless instrument, one that is played not only with astounding technical proficiency, but also with sensitivity, conviction, and heart.
