K.R. Azad’s Celebration of Life

THIS IS A FREE EVENTSUGGESTED DONATION OF $10 CAN BE MADE AT THE DOORK.R. AZAD’S CELEBRATION OF LIFEOn 5-20-21 the world lost one of its brightest lights. Azad was a brilliant, hilarious, genuine, andkind young man. He made a place in the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of knowinghim. Join us in celebrating our friend’s life with a night of everything that was him.There will be music from Lucas Parker Trio, Ghost Tapes, Sita, Stop Motion, Brothers of Brass, andan open jam to wrap up the night. There will also be an open mic for friends and family to sharestories/memories/jokes, and a video game station for us to play some of Azad’s favorites.This is a free, all-ages event for the community with a suggested donation at the door to supportthe costs of the service. Any surplus we raise in donations will be directed to an endowedscholarship fund for KU music students focusing on world percussion, in honor of Azad’sachievements at his alma mater.
