Rooted in reggae, infused with jamtronica, and charged by drum and bass, Giant Walking Robots present a sound both familiar and forward-thinking. The dynamic four-piece out of Denver, Colorado – blend entrancing melodic grooves with a heavyweight rhythm section, while allowing their jams to breathe and explore. Band members George Demopoulos (bass), Dave Halchak (guitar/vocals), Matt Schooley (drums/vocals), and Wilson (guitar/synths/vocals) have united due to a deep passion for live music. Aiming to bridge the gaps between rock, reggae, jam, and electronica, this project was born out of the desire to hear dub sections dig deeper and travel further. Such clever interplay between seemingly disparate genres enables Giant Walking Robots to push the dance floor’s vibes directly into the future.
The Desert Furs are an electrifying psychedelic rock and jam quartet from Longmont, Colorado. Formed in 2019, the band consists of guitarist and lead singer, Billy Wassung, Jon Studtmann on bass and vocals, Cody Bump on keyboards, synths and vocals, and Alex Thiessen on drums and percussion.

Drawing inspiration from the rich legacy and funky grooves of the 60's, 70's and beyond, The Desert Furs weave a unique sonic tapestry of original songs with luscious tones, atmospheric textures, inspired jamming, and a unifying message of love.

The band is led by charismatic front man and primary songwriter, Billy Wassung, whose soulful vocals, and heartfelt cosmic indie creations serve as the band’s driving force. Wassung and Studtmann’s thought-provoking lyrics explore themes of love, nature, freedom, and the human experience.

With boundless creativity and infectious energy, The Desert Furs love to create immersive and transformative musical experiences for their fans, leaving an indelible mark on the Colorado music community - much to the listening and dancing delight of their audiences. Dig it.
