The Motet & Ghost-Note
Friday, April 10
Doors: 7 pm | Show: 8 pm
Formed over two decades ago, funk luminaries The Motet have learned to work as an interlocking unit, with each member bolstering one another towards the best creative output. This symbiosis has led to a unique style and cohesive musical chemistry, as seen in the band's immaculate live performances and seamless blend of funk, soul, jazz, and rock. With a fervent fanbase in tow, The Motet have sold out shows across the nation, performed seven headlining slots at Red Rocks and sets at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Bottlerock, Electric Forest, Bumbershoot, Summer Camp, and High Sierra.

But even after their 20+ years of accolades and recognition, the legendary outfit - composed of Dave Watts (drums), Garrett Sayers (bass), Drew Sayers (keys and saxophone), Ryan Jalbert (guitar), and Sarah Clarke (vocals) - are still exploring new sonic ideas and finding new ways to showcase each other’s skill sets.

The band released their 11th studio album, Love Time, in November 2024, their first with vocal powerhouse Sarah Clarke in tow.

Ghost-Note are bracing in their virtuosity, affecting in their soulfulness and inspired in their sonic choices. Their live shows are a tour de force of funk with dazzling solos and air-tight arrangements that will have you dancing and shaking your head in awe. The massive Percussion and Horn driven band delivers a “mind-blowing healing sensation that is positively, unapologetically funky.”
